REQUEST THE SEAL
Accreditation Process
The WMA accreditation process is the following:
1. The person in charge of a website sends a WMA
request (voluntarily) through the web to begin the process. He/she enters some
data in the database of WMA (using the request on the web) and auto-checks
the criteria of WMA (based on the Code of Conduct and the Ethical Code) (step/level
1) accepting these recommendations.
2. The Standing Committee assesses the web
site based on the WMA criteria (step/level 2/medical expert):
- Identification
- Contents
- Confidentiality
- Advertising and Sponsorship
- Virtual Consultation
- Non compliance
3. The director of WMA sends a report to the
person in charge to implement the recommendations.
4. When the recommendations are implemented
then it is possible to obtain the seal of quality and WMA sends
an html seal code to include in the accredited web site, and
WMA adds it to the index of accredited web sites.
5. Later there is a control of the validation
of the seal.
