QUATRO Plus

QUATRO Plus
QUATRO Plus is a two year follow-on project to QUATRO which started in October 2007. QUATRO Plus aims to build on the success of the original project which developed a universal machine-readable labelling platform by improving the existing technologies by making the communication processes more secure and robust and increasing the functionalities of the existing LADI and Viq tools and developing simple to use tools for label creation. This project will be fully compliant with the recommendation currently being developed by the W3C POWDER Working Group for content labels.

VACSATC
Vaccine Safety Attitudes, Training and Communication (VACSATC) lies into the "Health & Consumer Protection" priority area of the "Public Health" work plan for 2005, action "Exchanging information on vaccination and immunisation strategies". The general objectives are: identify the effectiveness of vaccination programmes through better informed, provide objective science based information about immunizations and vaccine safety on web sites, improve data possibilities for conducting epidemiological studies. In collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and its project Vaccine Safety Net as well.

MedIEQ lies into the “Health Information” priority area of the “Public Health” work plan for 2005, in the action “2.1.5 eHealth”, where the following are written “Work on verification of health information sites, as mentioned in the Commission Communication on eHealth will continue to receive support.Ensuring improvements in the reliability of information provided to the public through internet sites by means of examining best practice and proposing common solutions”.

Quality Assurance Content Description (QUATRO) aims to help internet users find what they want, trust what they find and avoid material that, for whatever reason, they choose not to see. This will be achieved by devising a common method that can be used by quality labelling and rating schemes, privacy and security policies, classification and discovery metadata, permission and rights management systems. Under the Safer Internet Action Plan of the European Union since 2004 to 2006.

Vaccine Safety Net
The World Health Organization (WHO) has created a program called the Vaccine Safety Net in order to assist readers in identifying websites providing information on vaccine safety that comply with good information practices. Web Médica Acreditada collaborates with one of the websites selected in this project, Todosvacunados.com, as a member of its editorial council and hosting the website in the server of the Medical Association of Barcelona.

The Internet Quality Agency (IQUA) intends to be a meeting point for different agents on the Web, a point of common reference for the Administration, operators, users, associations and technicians who work for the Internet improvement and quality. The COMB has established an agreement of collaboration for the elaboration of a code of conduct for the all the health professions.

MedCIRCLE

MedCIRCLE
MedCIRCLE - a collaboration of European health subject gateways or rating services - builds on, expands and continues work on rating health information on the Internet piloted within the MedCERTAIN project. Both projects - MedCIRCLE and MedCERTAIN - are complementary semantic web projects with the overall objective to develop and promote technologies able to guide consumers to trustworthy health information on the Internet, to establish a global web of trust for networked health information, and to empower consumers to "filter" or positively select high quality health information on the web.
